“I can not express how much I love your ”PlaynStay” facility and how you saved our family vacation.”

I was stressed about taking a family vacation and not knowing what to do with our 6-month-old Golden Retreiver puppy.  I didn’t like the idea of boarding her where she would be kept mostly in a cage and I didn't want a family friend or neighbor to be burdened to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to let her out and feed her.  I was at witts end until I heard about your dog daycare, & ”play n stay” facility.

I checked out your website and having known you as our family veterinarian for over 10 years, I knew our Paisley would be in great hands.  Your facility is impressive and well thought out, I appreciated the separate play yards used to gradually assimilate the dogs.  I additionally was comforted by the high perimeter fences, having recently become aware of a pack of coyotes stalking our backyard.  And foremost, I want to mention the dog bone swimming pools which were perfect for our girl who recently decided she loves to swim. Your play n stay, is almost better than home, and with the cameras and high fences it is definitely safer.

Your enrollment process was so easy and communicating by text was super convenient. Our experience was excellent for myself and for Paisley and we will be back!  I must say I especially loved the daily video’s and photos (multiple times a day) showing how much fun Paisley was having playing in the pool and playing ball with the other ”campers”.  I would beam with delight knowing how well my girl, Paisley was being loved and cared for during my absence.  This was a win, win! Paisley came home smelling great and I might I add, she was better behaved.

Thank you Dr. Grey for your love and commitment to our beloved fur baby.

They came home happy, healthy and exhausted!

Our 6 year old Beagles have been going to Dr. Grey at Carmel Mountain Ranch Veterinary Hospital since they joined our family, so when I was told that Dr. Grey was opening a boarding facility at her home, I couldn’t have been more excited!  One of our beagles had recently undergone an unexpected surgery and I was panicked about where to leave them for a long planned trip to the east coast. Dr. Grey was able to take in my 2 beagles for 5 nights with very short notice. I have to say, Dr. Grey’s Play and Stay is perfect!  Full disclosure, I am one of those people who absolutely SPOILS my dog, so I am very particular about where I will leave them. From the comfy “Holly-woof” room to the large outdoor play area with shading, cots, and a pool….my dogs were in the lap of luxury…Just like home! The added security of knowing that Dr. Grey was available to administer required meds, keep an eye on the surgery recovery AND attend to the special diet needs made my vacation virtually stress free, as I knew the kids were well cared for!  Knowing that Dr. Grey would be there overnight and was equipped to evacuate in the event of an emergency was so reassuring! While enjoying my vacation I received daily texts and some hysterical photos’ and it was clear both dogs were having a great time running and playing on THEIR vacation. They came home happy, healthy and exhausted! I won’t hesitate to use Dr. Grey’s Play and Stay in the future for any of our boarding needs.

“Captain Morgan had the best day at daycare!”

I brought my 8-month-old Great Dane mix to Dr. Grey’s Play & Stay for an afternoon because he has so much energy. Cap made some new friends and came home so tired that he slept the entire next day! Dr. Grey’s staff is attentive and knows how to introduce all of the dogs so there are no issues, and is great at keeping everyone entertained and feeling special. It’s nice to know that there is a safe and loving place for him to come play when I have a busy day or need to go out of town last minute.

“If you’re looking for a “home away from home” for your much loved pets while you’re out of town, or even just a great place to leave them for the day, we highly recommend Dr. Grey’s Play & Stay!”

We've become well acquainted with Dr. Liz Grey at Carmel Mountain Ranch Veterinary Hospital over the past several years and she's an amazing veterinarian.  We've been adopting Boxers from rescues for almost two decades now and they've tended to come with a variety of health challenges.  To say we're in to see Dr. Grey regularly would be an understatement and her veterinary care is always 5 star!  Earlier this year, during one of our many visits, I mentioned to Dr. Grey that we were in a pinch because we were scheduled to leave town, but our female Boxer had developed a terrible skin allergy to the environment of the home boarding care facility we had begun using just two months earlier.  That's when Dr. Grey mentioned to us that she was opening her own boarding care soon!  We were thrilled to hear this!!  And, though her boarding care wasn't even open yet, she offered to take care of our two Boxers for us anyway so we could keep our plans to go out of town for a few days. That's the kind of caring provider she is!  We simply couldn't ask for a more comforting care option for our much loved Boxers while we're away then that of our trusted, caring veterinarian. Our Boxers always seem happy, loved, and very cared for while boarding with Dr. Grey and she does a great job keeping us abreast of their wellness with both communication and photo updates. That gives us great peace of mind!  Since our Boxers first stay at Dr. Grey's Play & Stay, they've been back two more times and we have plans for them to stay again in the next couple of months.  If you're looking for a "home away from home" for your much loved pets while you're out of town, or even just a great place to leave them for the day, we highly recommend Dr. Grey's Play & Stay!

“We received daily updates and pictures, which eased our own anxieties. Our precious Piggy looked so happy and, to our surprise, appeared to be the belle of the ball!”

Wade and I adopted Piggy (approx. 4-year-old Pug mix) in June 2018. She has separation anxiety and a very sensitive stomach, so we were nervous about taking our first vacation since bringing her into our lives. We were thrilled to learn about Dr. Grey's Play & Stay. And we were so impressed with the experience! We received daily updates and pictures, which eased our own anxieties. Our precious Piggy looked so happy and, to our surprise, appeared to be the belle of the ball - we received pictures of her socializing with the other dogs, which she doesn't normally want to do with us. The communication was on point and most importantly, Piggy was very well taken care of. Drop off and pick-up went smoothly. We even re-booked her for a couple weeks of day care! We are so grateful to have this option available to us. Thank you Dr. Grey and to her wonderful, amazing, super-hero team!

“Having my dogs at Play & Stay gives me the peace of mind that I needed to focus on work and completing the home remodel. I cannot thank Dr. Grey and her staff enough for taking care of my fur babies during a very stressful time.”

My dogs, Zoe and Pepper, are older dogs. Zoe is well into her senior years and was beginning to slow down noticeably. Pepper can be more reserved around dogs and people she does not know. I needed to have a safe place for them to stay while my home underwent months of extensive remodelling, and so I chose the daycare facility operated by Dr. Elizabeth Grey. After a few weeks at Play & Stay, both of them showed marked improvement in their behavior. Zoe enjoys moments of friskiness that belie her 15 years, and Pepper is more social with both dogs and people. I see pictures of their daily exploits, and they seem content while they are at the Play & Stay. When I bring them home, they are tired and content. I know they have the care and attention that only a veternarian and trained staff can provide, and that's espercially important for Zoe at this stage of her life. Having my dogs at Play & Stay gives me the peace of mind that I needed to focus on work and completing the home remodel. I cannot thank Dr. Grey and her staff enough for taking care of my fur babies during a very stressful time.

“Kaela will be very sad to leave your care.”

Kaela will be very sad to leave your care and company, like a child does not want to leave her friends at summer camp. We are most very grateful.

“ I had put all my travel on hold for the longest time because I could not find anyone who would take such excellent, customized care of them.”

They love it - I can tell from the photos and how they react when I drop off and pick them up. I am so grateful for you, Evan and all your staff who care for them. I had put all my travel on hold for the longest time because I could not find anyone who would take such excellent, customized care of them ❤️
